Wednesday Afternoon
After a large and delicious lunch, we headed to the boat house.  Once we got there, we split into two smaller groups.  One group proceeded to learn all about SCUBA equipment and dive safety and the other group (Tim, Emilie, Jen, Meredith, and Ben) snorkeled in the cove beside the boathouse.

Here's Emilie checking out a little Grouper on the ocean floor.  The snorkeling gang also saw lots of other types of fish... no Sting Rays this time though!

On our way to "The Saddle" on Sunset beach (our snorkel and SCUBA destination for the afternoon), we stopped at the marina to feed the nurse sharks the leftover Tilapia carcasses from our morning filleting lesson.  As you see... they LOVED our donation.

There were at least 9 nurse sharks and several smaller sharks- all with Remora fish following closely behind in search of leftovers :)
At this point, the SCUBA pictures are all on GoPros, and we haven't been able to download them yet due to limited bandwidth here on campus.

Tomorrow we are driving off campus for our down-island camping trip.  We will be doing things like snorkeling with sea horses, going to the glass window bridge (Atlantic Ocean on one side Caribbean on the other), cave exploration, and many other fun outdoor activities before we set up camp on the beach for the night near the northern end of the island.

This will be a wonderful 2 day adventure, but we will not have access to any internet service and will not be blogging until we get back. Stay tuned!
